quick shot

So, I was going to post some pictures from Halloween, but I'm having technical difficulties with them... I'll try and get them on here at some point for those of you smart people who aren't on Facebook.

Here's a quick shot I took today of Cam at his Thanksgiving Feast at preschool. It was so much fun, and I think he makes a pretty cute pilgrim.

Love to all...

Kids stats

Well, I'm putting in some pictures that we took from our awesome trip to the coast on Sunday. I didn't edit any of these (and a couple are blurry), but they're different from the ones on Facebook... I know that most of you who read this are on FB, so I didn't want to repeat.

Also, the kids went in on Wednesday for their 4 and 6 year check-ups. They're both healthy as can be (yeah!), and Dr. Caraballo gave them each a book, so they were thrilled. Cam had to have 3 shots, and I told him that he could squeeze my hands as hard as he wanted if they hurt. Would you believe that he didn't let out even a whimper... on any of them?!? Carol the nurse was AMAZED. Way to go Cam!

Here are their stats...

Serayah:
Height- 49.75 inches 98% (off the chart)
Weight- 67 lbs 98% (off the chart)

Cam:
Height - 42.5 inches 89%
Weight - 41lbs 84%

The Dr. said that their height/weights were both perfectly proportionate, and that they were doing great.

Nice to have a great Dr. visit, huh?

Fun in the sun

Well, as most of you know, August is a pretty big deal around here. Our babies have turned 4 and 6! Serayah's excited for 1st grade, and Cam is even more excited about preschool... first day of school posts are sure to come.

In the meantime, here are a few shots from playing on the waterslide today. It was a big deal, because for the first time EVER, Cam was OK with water going down his side of the slide. Up until now, we had to run both water lines on one side so he wouldn't get his face wet. We're pretty happy at this new development because it saves us from jumping up every few minutes to squirt water on the dry side to keep it slippery.

Enjoy!

Playin' around

Here are a few random shots of the kids playing on the new swingset... (and an extra of Finn... 'cause I just can't help myself).

Enjoy!

Playstructure

Here's our new swingset for the kids. They're SO happy... and so am I. I can see it from the kitchen window!

Whose filthy child is this?

Serayah's been going to camp this week. It's a full on summer camp, full of canoeing, swimming, hiking, a tree house, you name it. Every day I send off a relatively well groomed little girl, and every day I get a little dirt monster in her place. She's been having SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Waterfall Hike

We ordered some hiking books for Oregon and Washington, and they came the other day. After flipping through the book, we found a hike that ended in some waterfalls that weren't too far away, so we packed up the kids and Finnegan the wonderdog and took off. It's a good thing we had the book (and that it gave such detailed directions). The turnoffs to the falls weren't marked at all... There must be so many people who don't realize that they're so close to such beauty!

The hike to the falls is about a mile, and we were the only ones there, so we let Finn off his leash for the trek. He was so funny! He would race up to the front (where Cam was) then back to me in the rear... back and forth, back and forth... he must have gone 4 miles to our 2. The walk was so beautiful and green... This is the Oregon I love. I'm kind of overloading tree/forest photos, but that's for my Utah friends so they can see what I kept going on about.

After the hike, we headed for the beach (it was only 40 minutes away from the falls). We love Pacific City... It too was miraculously uncrowded, so Finn was free to run. He's really great about coming when I call, but he goes a bit spastic when he sees new people or dogs... He's only 5 months, so I've still got hope.

Anyway, I know I haven't posted anything in forever, but I haven't really taken any pictures in a while.

Hope everyone enjoys!
